A lucid dream of a man who won’t turn his face to me. I chase him and find him, turning his face toward me and touching it, putting my hand in his mouth, touching his teeth. I was hoping the face would be beautiful, but it’s angry in a way that suggests violence and I’m scared. It starts morphing, but each change keeps the same fearful tension of features, until finally the face has two mouths, and two sets of teeth, one where the mouth normally is, and one set of grinning teeth for eyes.

Finished it. Yay! Love the poetic language and the subtlety. Her sleep is probably her private protest to her world/ a therapeutic withdrawal period. She will wake up when she is ready to.

Alice’s net

When the net becomes a shared psychological space, reading each other’s dream begin to feel intimately remote and you begin to conjure up images in a symbolic book that only you, its only reader, know how to read.

It’s mutual.

honestly. I think I do that too. that’s why we fall in love fast. We think this person will complete us, make us whole, help us realize ourselves, reach the part within ourselves that we couldn’t fully grasp…
when you see your elusive soul reflected in the other parson enlarged, dramatized, glamorized, you just couldn’t resist.
so when we find our anima/animus, or our ‘type’,  the immediate attract we experience is because we have conceptualized and disassembled our previous subject of passion into forms, traits and others remnants of associations… and this association/dissociation seems to me also a form of objectification.
but maybe when girls do that, it’s not institutionalized oppression, it’s not patriarchy, and doesn’t perpetuate sexism….. so it’s not political?
